Chelsie,
“Hi, I would love to be like you with horses…any tips?”
Clare Halstead From Manchester, United Kingdom

Hello Clare,
Watch how horses interact with each other, learn as much as you can from people and take what you like and leave the rest, be as soft as possible and still be a leader, form a trusting bond with your horse and never push them when they are afraid, instill confidence in
your horse and yourself, have a plan but don’t be robotic, laugh when you are getting mad, and enjoy the little successes.
Think about my 5 key components when playing with your horse: Lightness, Politeness, Patience, Consistency, and Confidence.
Don’t use big bits, spurs, tie downs, cavesons, and gimmicks to get your horse to do things for you. Use your brain rather than tools!
And be as Natural with horses as you can. Think like horses not like a person. Read their body language and talk to them with yours.
Thanks for the question,
Chelsie
