Q.

Can you teach a horse how to kneel so rider can just sit on ? It’s coming the day I am afraid I may need my horse to do that.
He is a 5 year old Peruvian Paso and saddle trained and such a good boy.  I can get on him from anywhere so that makes it easier now but one day I may have a hard time even from a mounting block.

Hi Judy,
Yes you can teach a horse how to lay or kneel done so that you can get on.
This is an advanced move and you should have a really good foundation on your horse first.
This is also something that most people should not teach their horses. It is for advanced people to teach a horse this.
It is a delicate thing and should be done with love and not force!  I would suggest your taking my Foundation Clinic and then I can help you advance to the necessary point to teach this.
Thanks for the question!
